 Amy Winehouse was found dead today, at age 27, in her at her home in Camden, north London. She was known for her infamous beehive hairstyle and dramatic liner almost as much for her troubled lifestyle and less often for her amazing talent in recent years. Although her lifestyle did not predict a different ending, it still seems quite sad that she ended her life and short career today.

I've been a silent stalker of the website for a couple of years now but my mom, although not a very big fan of shopping online, got me a $50 coupon for Christmas towards the website. I know with $50 I should have bought something AGES ago. However, after I realized I could actually BUY from Modcloth for the first time, I just realized how expensive they can be. Shipping to Canada is really expensive and they only accept paypal or an American credit card for International buyers. This is why I was going to have my aunt buy from the website...one thing I had my eye on was a great pair of high waisted shorts as well as a couple of other things. Sadly her busy schedule couldn't allow her to order in time. I died inside a bit when I had to watch the items I wanted to buy sell out TWICE !

This isn't something I would buy in any other store for this price but because I had a coupon and didn't want to go over my $50 limit I went with this cute necklace. The main reason why I was drawn to this is because it would go with everything in my closet - and it had a lot of good reviews. Since International shipping is so high, its not likely that I would return this item, so I'd rather be safe than sorry!

but wait...I had a coupon!

With my discount my purchases came to $42.77 !

Harry Potter Premiere: Emma Watson - A Hit or Slip & Miss?

Now Emma is fully grown and sexy, a complete adult, her fashion and style is definitely on the world's radar. She's been featured on the cover of magazines such as Vogue and Seventeen just this year. While I may not have been one of the devoted Mugglers devoted to all things wizardy. I am a fashion citizen, and when I saw Emma Watson step out to the premiere in this, I just had to voice my opinion on it. 

  While this look, that she wore to the premiere, may be satisfactory to some I think it falls flat, or rather in a puff...Her hair and makeup which are an edgy complement to her flattering bodice. My problem lies with the draping of the bottom dress. It hangs awkwardly and does nothing to flatter her petite frame, it only widens it!

What do you think ?

Behind the Scenes: Project Runway w/ guest judge Kim Kardashian

To any project runway fans who have been dying for a new season, its BACK ! The premiere episode of Season 9 will begin Thursday, July 28 at 9 pm/8c on Lifetime Television. It feels like I've waited forever to hear that I could finally watch one of my favourite shows again.

[Plot spoiler]

In a "Project Runway" first, during the premiere episode, 20 designers must go in front of Heidi, Michael, Nina and Tim to make a case why they deserve one of the 16 coveted spots this season. Once they are chosen, the 16 designers barely have a chance to celebrate before being awoken at the crack of dawn with one of the toughest first challenges in the series’ history.

Guest designers on this season of Project Runway include Kim Kardashian, Christina Ricci, Zoe Saldana and Malin Akerman. 


Below you will find pictures of the episode that Kim Kardashian featured in as a guest judge. The judges took notes as the models, on high stilts and elaborate dresses, walked down the outdoor runway.

Kim Kardashian had a little bit of a wardrobe malfunction and I couldn't find any photos of her NOT revealing her white underwear. I tried to find one that showed the least. It seemed she held her card at the wrong spot.

Coleworld: New Single Disappointment

Disclaimer I"m a big fan of J. Cole and have been even before he started to get major notice around the world for his lyricism or even air play on the internet. Mind you, I'm not a hipster and in no way am I trying to brag about how "I knew him before anyone else did", I'm just saying that I'm a big fan and supporter of him as an artist and a person and I can't wait for him to be recognized as one of the greatest, if not, the greatest.

        
J.Cole - Workout

A couple of days ago his highly anticipated single for his debut album, Work Out, finally cleared. J. Cole released it via. Twitter. I'm not really feeling this song, mind you, I haven't given it the greatest listen and paid attention to the complete lyrics but I didn't get the high or excitement I thought I would get when I first heard it. To be honest, this single seems a little "main stream". Something that a lot of fans and non-fans (usually fans of Drake) have been requesting from him. 

Even if this song rubs off on me...I just hope his next single and his entire album is a lot better than this.
