Coleworld: New Single Disappointment

Disclaimer I"m a big fan of J. Cole and have been even before he started to get major notice around the world for his lyricism or even air play on the internet. Mind you, I'm not a hipster and in no way am I trying to brag about how "I knew him before anyone else did", I'm just saying that I'm a big fan and supporter of him as an artist and a person and I can't wait for him to be recognized as one of the greatest, if not, the greatest.

J.Cole - Workout

A couple of days ago his highly anticipated single for his debut album, Work Out, finally cleared. J. Cole released it via. Twitter. I'm not really feeling this song, mind you, I haven't given it the greatest listen and paid attention to the complete lyrics but I didn't get the high or excitement I thought I would get when I first heard it. To be honest, this single seems a little "main stream". Something that a lot of fans and non-fans (usually fans of Drake) have been requesting from him.

Even if this song rubs off on me...I just hope his next single and his entire album is a lot better than this.

New Music: Far Away - Tyga ft. Chris Richardson

It's been too long since I've updated my blog regularly and even longer since I've posted new music. Technically this song is about a couple of weeks old but I'm loving it so much I just couldn't resist sharing it.

Tyga has released his first single Far Away off of his upcoming album Careless World. I resisted listening to it because I find that Tyga can be a bit hit or miss for me but this is definitely a HIT. Even if your not into hip hop this song is the tune you will sing on a nice summer day. This is like the equivalent to B.O.B.'s single Airplane. The singer has a soothing voice that will have you singing along to on the chorus but Tyga's raps are catchy enough that you'll either sit and listen to him or be inspired by his hometown memories.

Seriously, I can not say enough about this song. Just listen to it! Die-hard Hip hop fan or just a fan of top 40 hits...you'll LOVE IT.

Dreams Money Can Buy

And I feel like lately I went from top 5 to remaining 5

My favourite rappers either lost it or they aint alive

And they tryna bring us down me, Weezy and Stunna

We stayed up, Christmas lights in the middle of summer

Drake is back with a new hip hop join called Dreams Money Can Buy. We all know Drake likes to take small jabs at other rappers claiming he's the best and as you can see from the lyrics above he still thinks he's the best. From Drake's point of view him an Weezy must be freezing cuz they're lonely at the top. Chrismas lights in the middle of the summer ? awkward.

Listen to the song above and tell me what you think ? If you were a fan of Drake way back when he started out how do you like him now? Full lyrics and download below.
*I have some select lyrics I bolded that I like but the song its self I probably will not be bumping...to slow for me...maybe in time i'll feel it.*

New Music: Grenade by Bruno Mars (Video)

I haven't even taken a good look at the video but I remember being obsessed with the audio when I heard it a couple of months ago.  I hope you love the song as much as I do - or used to...I've overplayed it.

New Music: In The Morning w/ J. Cole x Drake + Drake Talks about Collabo

J. Cole - In The Morning ft. Drake (Prod. by L&X Music)

Listen to the J. Cole and  Drake collaboration "In the Morning," off J.'s new mixtape, Friday Night Lights, which comes out Friday.

The Jay-Z protégé has been building a solid rep over the past three years, both from his earlier mixtapes The Come Up and The Warm Up and from his guest spot on "Star Is Born" off Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 LP. His official debut LP will be out early next year, and he'll be touring Europe with Drake in January.

CLick for more to see Drake talk about the collaboration with J. Cole and the original "In The Morning" song released in 2009.

New Music and Video: Get Back Up

T.I. is unfortunately back in jail but he shot the video for, “Get Back Up,” with Chris Brown before turning himself in. His new album, “No Mercy,” is set to drop December 7th. He had to change the album name because ironically "King Uncaged" wouldn't make sense as he is "back behind bars."

This song is starting to grow on me. I don't think I was feeling it originally when it first came out.

*whoops* I accidently posted the song as "Never Back Down". The correct title is Get Back Up

New Music: 50 Cent x Bobby V have an Alter Ego and Flashback

I don't want to confuse this with a music blog...because generally I never find new music.
But when I find new music or just want to share something I will.

50 Cent ft. Bobby Valentino - Alter Ego

A video for this should be coming up soon.

Its been a while since I've heard any Bobby Valentino. So I thought I'd do a Flash Back circa 2007. It feels like forever but it was only 3 years ago that he blew up the radio stations...

New Music: Love the Way You Lie Part 2

I might have just said I'd be blogging less but I actually just found the world premiere of this. I don't think it beats the original but you might.

I have no idea how to post it to my blog so here is the link:

Love The Way You Lie (Part Two)” will be featured on Rihanna’s upcoming LOUD album

Rihanna x Shy Ronnie - SNL

Very scripted but I think Rihanna did well in both...I think I LQTM'D (laughed.quietly.to.myself) in both skits.

If this is any indicator to her acting in a real role. I think she'd do great in a real movie.

New Music: Feel Love with Sean Garret and J. Cole

Feel Love - Sean Garret ft. J. Cole

I guess things didn't work out for Sean Garret at Young Money because he is now signed to Roc Nation. The earlier version of this song had Drake but he swaps it with his new labelmate J. Cole. Listen to the original song (below) to see which one you like best. Personally, I like the newer version.

This is the lead single off his U.S. debut album, is has the singer-songwriter falling in love for the first time and wanting to tell everyone his new feelings.

Here is the original song featuring Drake.

Please Note: This picture is "vintage" Drake...this is the "Toronto Rapper" Drake I remember before he became "Young Money" Drake...not trying to put labels on him but I just feel like his whole persona and attitude has changed since the fame. I don't know him so I can't confirm this but just from a fan's point of view I just don't relate to him as much. He needs to step back and be real. Everything he raps about seems like he's so much higher and better than the rest...where do I fit my reality in that ? (I do know that he is rich now so it is his reality but just think how Nicki Minaj just made a more relatable video...he could make one of those instead of a the usual flashing lights and features video)

New Music: Right Through Me...a softer side of Minaj

I think a lot of us are used to Minaj "the Monster". The crazy bitch that will take you man and eat through anyone. The tough girl that may or may not entertain you. This shong shows a new side of Minaj that is a lot more relatable.

I have to admit that I couldn't keep my eyes off of the model. The words that came to my head were: Calm. Cool. Collected. I don't know if he is the cheater she made him out to be in the video but I love the way he handled himself and her. I'm interested...I want to know more. But at the end of the day, Nicki had a great performance and showed the world she is human and can be just as vulnerable as us. Great job !!

In a recent interview with MTV, Nicki described the video as very personal to her. “The concept of the video is….. boy & girl, relationship, drama. You know all of that, and the intimate stuff, as well as the fighting, as well as the self reflecting type stuff. It’s basically just a love story, told from the perspective of a very hard girl who doesn’t want to give in but she has to. But the song to me is very, very personal.”

New Music: Bruno Mars waits for you on THE OTHER SIDE

Bruno Mars ft. Cee-lo & B.O.B.

I heard this track a couple of months ago and loved the "dark side" Bruno brought out... I thought this was an awesome collaboration.

B.O.B had me at

If they say life's a dream
Call this insomnia
Cause this ain't Wonderland
It damn sure ain't Narnia
And once you cross the line
You can't change your mind

I think he plays the fine line of crazy and sane well.

Can Your MAC do this ? I think not !

Windows XP Error Song Break Beat

I guess I'll just have to be satified that my PC can make such a cool beat from the many errors...until I save enough money for a Mac laptop.
