The Royal Wedding: Happy Campers

Royal Wedding Fans

Hundreds of thousands — men and women, young and old, from all over the world are camping out in droves at The Mall outside Westminster Abbey. My favourite group of campers were these two men. They scored bonus points for the Burger King crown.

I thought I would compare them to past groups of people who have camped out to see other royal couples.

An elevation shot taken from Buckingham Palace shows thousands of Londoners gathered around the Victoria Memorial at the entrance to Buckingham Palace to cheer the newly married Princess Elizabeth and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on November 21st, 1947

Police officers restrain a crowd of people who turned out for the wedding of Princess Mary and Henry Charles George, Viscount Lascelles, in February of 1922.
